DotComGiftShop Card Making Kit

Last week i was asked by Dotcomgiftshop if i would like
to review a collection of card making kits.
Firstly i had to pick myself up off the floor...lol
As Ive never been asked to do anything like this before,
And of course i emailed back straight away and said YES.
So when my parcel arrived a couple of days later....i was so
excited...i couldn't wait to get started.
The parcel contain 3 card making kits
Playtime,Flower Power,Monsoon
The first card making kit i had a play with is
Monsoon and it came with -
2 x Die cut Sheets
6 x Envelopes
6 x Cards
8 x Button Stickers
1 x sticky Pad Sheet

Everything you see on both cards are from the card kit
Except Buttons,Ribbons,Giant Paperclip,Peg,
Lettering,Luggage Label.
As you can see apart from making two cards i also
wanted to show you that with the fab die cut extras
you can make great little matching gifts to go with
your cards!
The top gift is a book marker made from a giant paperclip
and 2 of the flower die cuts and a button from my stash.
Bottom gift is a fridge magnet memo holder
made from a wooden peg and a matching die cut love heart
also from the kit.
I really enjoyed having a play with this Monsoon card making kit
I think this kit is great i soooo love the colours.
The quality of the kit is very good.
And i would highly recommend these kits esp for beginners and
for the advance card maker "when you need a quick card"
or even the young crafters out there as a little present for them!
What i love about this kit is that it comes with gorgeous die cuts
that you can use to make other gifts apart from using them on your cards!
So if you fancy having ago at this card making kit - Monsoon or even buying
it as a gift for someone.Click on the link
But that's not the end...be sure to check back
where i will be showing you the other 2 card making kits
So thanks for looking,
Hugs Clare xx

Teacher Gifts & 1st Cross Stitch

Good Evening All
Hope your all well...and enjoying the school hols
its day 2 of ours and not including the weekend we've
had one day of sun...that was yesterday..it was gorgeous
and it was great to see the kids out playing...but sadly it was
back to rain again today...its the same story as always,
as soon as the kids break up for school summer hols the weather
changes!!
Anyway i thought i would share with you my 1st cross stitch project
since primary school and what i made for Jake's teacher!
Here is a ikea photo frame i bought from a boot sale,i bought a pile
of them around 8 for £1
I white washed them with white acrylic paint & water.
And while around my next door neighbours house
she had been sorting a lot of stuff she had stored in her attic
for a boot sale....and she came across a load of cross stitch projects
that she had collected when she was at home...they were the ones
you have every month from the newsagents..so taking look thou them
i found this nice easy project..and thought that would look lovely
in the frame for Jake's teacher.I also made another one and stuck it on to a thank
you card for her.
I asked Jake what did his teacher say and that all he said was "Thank You"
So wish i could of been there to see her reaction...so not sure if she liked
it or not!
But if i was given this i would of been sooo pleased.
Sorry the pic is dark...it was taken late last Thursday night..when the wind
and rain was lashing against the window...lol

So here it is...i free hand stitch Mrs Long..which looking at it now
i wish I'd left it out...but i wanted to personalise it for her.
What you see in the frame...is what came with the project
thread, button, blue gingham paper & blue card.
But the card the red gingham hand made paper was from
my card making stash....wish i think looks better against the
heart.
I really enjoyed making these gifts..esp the cross stitching
and this is not the last you'll see of this cute little heart...lol
Ive got a couple of idea's running around...and xmas idea's.
So watch this space.
Also I'm pleased to say that i had a lovely email
from my strawberry swap partner Rachel...She loved all her goodies
and she will be blogging about them tomo....so i will hopefully
be able to pinch a couple of pic's off her to show you what i made
.....I know.....I forgot to take pic's of them....i only remembered
after i wrapped them up(pic below)...lol
Right sorry for the long post...hope you haven't fallen asleep
yet...lol
So until next time....Have fun & happy crafting
Hugs Clare xx
