A Bit Of Some Feminine Touches

Good Evening All

Hope your all well...and the sun has been shining for you

today...its certainly been shining here...and

what a difference a bit of sun makes.

Line full of washing,housework done and dusted earlier

in the morning!

So while hubby was pottering about in the garage

with his motorbike!

I made this gorgeous(if i must say so..lol)

bunting...to hang in our bedroom,at first wasn't

sure where to put it...but its now hanging

on my new bed..yes new..its about 2weeks

old....and Ive been wanting a metal bed for years.

The bunting is made from tea towels(the rose & blue check fabric)

Yes tea towels....

from the famous bargain shop

B&M's...at just 1.99p for 2 towels.

Last weekend i also treated myself(hubby didn't have a say

in it..lol)to the gorgeous Rose Patchwork Duvet Set

from Argos at just £12.99...you can just see the pillows!

So as you can see...a bit of feminine touch in the bedroom!!!

Living with 3 males is hard..in our house its not football or Rugby

(Well Done To The Welsh Boys Today...Oggy Oggy!!)

its motorbikes,superbikes and rallying..so what do you

think...a bit of pink & floral??

Also this afternoon we had to pick a few things up from the local

Sainsburys....and while walking round...a light bulb came on

and i remembered about this magazine the lovely Lynda - Hookin' With LaaLaa

Had mentioned about on her blog yesterday.

And i must agree with Lynda..its a great read..lots of projects in there

and you get these lovely free stamps...look at that cupcake stamp,and

the bunting stamp...as I'm a card maker as well....these stamps will

defo be used on lots of cards!!

Also walking from the checkouts on my way out

there was rows of shelves of reduced CD's,DVD's & Games

so noticing the big round orange stickers on the CD's

i couldn't help myself and stop to have a look..and i found

tucked away behind Take That,Boy zone...i find The POLICE

album..OMG..i just had to have it..got it on tape

and just love it....my fav has to be Message in the bottle..lol

So at just £3 i couldn't leave it there!

Right that's me off...fingers crossed for the lottery

OMG...7 things about me...here goes.....

1- Im a born and breed Welsh Lady

From South Wales Valley's

(No Sheep Jokes please...lol)

From the home town of the Manic Street Preachers

Went to the same comprehensive school as them!!

2- Im the only female in the house...3 males!!

Tried to make it a bit more femine on the weekend...

i bought i new duvet cover for our bed

It was from Argos...the patchwork quilt like one

Its gorgeous...with pale blue & white dots on the

reverse...only £12.99 for a double!

So i showed the little J it and he said "What about daddy.....

I said "why cause its got pink flowers on it....and he said

"yes...daddy's not a girl.....lol

So this is what ill get now....every time i put a bit of pink

around the house...lol

3- I love riding on the back of hubbies GSXR 600 motorbike

riding thou all the welsh mountains,meeting up with other

bikers..also love going to bike shows with the family!

4-I love wearing my jeans and a hoody....give

me a pair of jeans any day....the last skirt i wore

was my school skirt..many many years ago....the last dress

i wore was my wedding dress....lol

5- My/Our Dream that one day we will get to

move to the other side of the world Australia to live for a better

life for the boys.....if we had the money

now..id be gone tomo!

6- I hope that one day i will get to learn to drive...Ive had

loads of lessons over the years...but then gave up!!

But walking everywhere is great exercise...lol

7- Twice a year i take a trip toBirmingham to the NEC hobby craft show

To meet up with blogging friends...Ive been doing this now for about 4yrs

this is my 4th...and i love it...Ive meet loads of people...and I'm still

friends with now....and hopefully ill get to meet up again in march!

Right now I'm suppose to pass this on to 15 blogging friends

I'm blaming the needles...i think i need different ones.

next month....I'm going to buy some new needles

The Art Of Knitting....!!!!! Or Is It???

The air is blue in the Wilkinson's household this weekend

I'm learning how to knit.....lol

Hubby bought me The Art Of Knitting

For Valentines Day when we went

when we went shopping yesterday.

The first issue is 99p and then £2.99

every week....OMG every week I'm sure it didn't say that

when advertising on the TV....lol

So Ive now learnt to the art of casting on

it only took me all of yesterday....lol

I'm now learning The Knit Stitch

And the air is blue.......

I really take my hat off to all those that can knit!

Im Still Here....Back With Some Makes!!!

Good Afternoon All

Can't believe its been soooo long since my last post!!

But I'm back to show you some makes Ive been

experimenting with for....Valentines day

Mothers Day

And Easter





I'm not sure of the rabbit yet...but i did ask
a few family members could they tell what it was
and they all said a rabbit....thankgoodness..lol


I hope your all been keeping well...and warm?Its been
sooo cold these last few days..the wind cuts right thou you!
Ive just got over having the flu...and as we do carrying on,
went in to work Monday as normal...Jake came home from school on
Monday then with a letter from the school...telling us that we had
a confirmed case of swine flu in the school...OMG..its too close to
home now!!! anyway as you may not know,i work in the school,
i then got sent home for a couple of days
cause of the flu symptoms i had...took myself off to the doc's
he took a few tests....and confirmed it wasn't swine flu...OMG
that was the worse 5mins of my life waiting for the results.
But i could of kissed him when he said that i should stay home
for the rest of the week from work..with plenty of rest,painkillers...and lots of fluid!!
For which i did...and I'm not feeling alot better!!

Is Its Monday Already...!!!

Good Afternoon All

Hope you all had a lovely weekend?

Can't believe its the start of another week,

where did the weekend go.....

Its a horrible dark day here rain,and more rain.

Today i got out of the school run..thank goodness

due to the rain...cause Little J was invited to tea

after school over at is friends house....Shhhhh can you

hear it???? nor me its bliss here...lol

So i thought i would share with you some of the zipped

purses Ive been making since having my new machine..and

i can say after making my first one...they can become

an addictive make!!!!

So here are some.....

This last one as you can see

i used some free hand machine

on the flowers...and i can not put my

hands up to the crochet flowers...i bought them already

made at the Hobby craft Show back last year.

Right off i go...no little one hanging on the leg,

so its off to whiz the cleaner round and get tea ready before all peace

is gone....lol

Good Evening All

A big Happy New Year from me...Hope you all

had a lovely Christmas..can't believe the first week

of January is over already.

Tuesday was back to work & school for us...and OMG thank god

its the weekend....lol

Can't wait for a lie in tomo....lol

Was hoping for a snowy day today in work/school

We had a load of snow thou the nite and then around 6.00am

this morning it started to rain and washed all the snow away

or just made it in to slush...Boo Hoo...so it was off to school/work

we went....lol

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas...we were lucky enough

not to have any germs in the house over Xmas...i think we had

ours lending up to Xmas...which was lucky.

We were suppose of finished for Xmas on the 17th....but due to bad snow

we broke up on the 16th...lucky the kids already had Xmas parties,

concerts,pantomime trips...so a extra day off for the Xmas hols it was!

On the 20th Dec..my sis-in-law went in to hospital to be induced,but

things wasn't happening down below...and then finally

had the baby on Wednesday 22nd Dec by Csection and she

was allowed home with baby Xmas eve.

And here he is..my baby nephew Cameron,isn't he lush!!

This was taken on boxing day up my parents house

where there was 16 of us for boxing day lunch...you know

chips,cold meat,pickles...yummy!!!

Here are some of my Xmas pressies.....

My Fist attempt at free hand embroidery..and after

reading this fab book by Poppy Treffy...i just had to have a go.

I think this is ok for my first try....

My Lovely mum bought Kirstie for me
and what a lovely book..just wish there
was more projects in there.



And look what my gorgeous hubby got me
A new sewing machine...and its the best.
Its so easy to use..its quiet..so i can now sew in the evenings
while kids in bed and hubby watching TV...with out him moaning
about the noise....lol




Its got loads of stitches it can do...you can drop
the feed dog down for free hand motion(what i done
for the cupcake above)its got a zip foot,button foot.
It took me the day after boxing day to have a go..was to scared
at first...but i was so itching to make something..esp using the zip foot
i made a zipped purse(will add pic's soon)which has become
an addiction to me....making zipped purses...lol
But now Ive run out of zips....lol
Also had the usuall things...Pj's,slippers,smellies,
chocolates...loads...lol

Anyway enough of me...I would like to welcome my new
followers....and say a big Hello to anyone
that has popped by to have a nosy...from the birthday swap.
I put my name down to join up in the birthday swap
and i so can't wait to start sending out my first birthday card and gift.

So a Big Happy New New Year
I hope 2011 is going to be a good one for all of us.
I'm hoping to sell my makes online.....more on that again!
